This week the light bulb went off, I came to a realization that I could help a much larger audience than those I connect with daily through the use of a blog.  There are tons of online blogs and websites that help people with ideas and strategies for money and personal finance.   After reviewing dozens of sites and blogs, some great and some not so great I decided I might be able to help.  Having spent my entire career in this industry both on the business side as well as the personal side I get to see the struggles that small business owners and consumers have everyday.  I speak to actual people every day and help them with their decisions.  Having been raised in a family and work environment that gives back to the community I felt the need to share my thoughts and try to help a larger audience.

Busy defines us!  We are not unlike anyone reading this blog right now.  I live in a very normal family with an awesome wife, 3 amazing kids, a crazy dog, a quiet cat, and a full calendar of activities.  The point behind this blog is to give back to the community that helped us become so successful and happy!

Credibility is a word I kept realizing after searching the web.  Many people establish blogs on topics they enjoy or like, but this blog is designed to help.  Being in banking for 22 years you experience many situations where decisions can be crucial to keep a business in operation, or a decision on a product that can affect your life as an individual.  I have worked as a commercial business lender for over 10 years.  If you are a business and need help with financing your business you may come across a blog post on a subject you can relate to.  You can also email in questions on small business financing.

I have also worked in a managerial capacity in banking for 10 years.  Currently managing over 100 employees I get to experience their struggles both in their life as well of the lives of their clients.  The times when my bankers want to help, but can’t.  Situations where we have changed someone’s life.  Increased cash flow or decreased expenses.  When consumers have questions they need answers to we deliver.  By helping clients and small businesses day in and day out through education will be the main goal of this site.

Part time work is great to keep your energy high and your focus strong.  I hold a part time job not because I have to, but because I want to.  Education is a way of life for myself.  I learn everyday that I go into the office or have a great conversation.  One night a week I am a Sr Adjunct instructor for finance and strategy courses at a local college.  The insight and knowledge gained from the students is extremely rewarding.  I am able to stay in touch with their thoughts, ideas, and struggles.

Through education, finance, and community the blog was formed.  I hope you enjoy reading as much as I plan on enjoying writing.
